Use the Space

Some people come together quietly.
Some host public gatherings.
Both belong here.

How do you want to use it?

This is our space — built on local relationship and mutual investment.

Private Events

For small groups, closed circles, personal gatherings, parties, or quiet use of the space.

You already know who you’re gathering with. This doesn’t need to be a big production.

How We Care for the Space

Booking assumes a shared responsibility and familiarity with these guidelines.

These guidelines exist to keep the space clean, respectful, and sustainable for everyone who uses it. Most gatherings fit comfortably within them.

  • The Missing Corner is held as a place of connection and neighborly relationship. We do not host events whose primary aim is to inflame, demean, or divide the community.

If you’re hosting something that sits near an edge, we ask that you reach out in advance so we can make sure the space is being used in a way that feels responsible and aligned here.

    • Please review the Rental Rate Guidance page prior to booking. Contribution may be made at booking or during your event. We offer flexibility in how contribution is made.

    • Upon booking, a small booking fee is charged. This fee is waived with Membership to The Missing Corner and is not your rental contribution.

    • Book your time to include setup and breakdown.

    • After booking — and before your first time using the space — we’ll reach out to schedule a brief orientation to review policies, procedures, and care of the space.

    • We don’t charge cancellation fees, but timely cancellations are important. If your plans change and you’re no longer using the space, please cancel as soon as possible so it can open up for others.

    • If you need to reschedule, you can do so using the link in your original confirmation email.

    • Liability and insurance requirements vary by event and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis after booking.

    • Alcohol may not be served at public events without appropriate permits and insurance.

    • Amplified sound is not permitted outdoors after 9pm unless prior permission is granted.

    • We ask hosts to be mindful of neighbors and the surrounding community, including noise, parking, and arrival/departure flow.

    • Some events require additional coordination or approval based on size, duration, or complexity. If you’re unsure, we encourage a quick conversation before booking.

    • Please leave the space as you found it — clean, tidy, and ready for the next person.

    • Items may not be stored on site outside of your booked time unless explicitly arranged.

    • Follow all posted cleaning guidelines and help us maintain the space as a shared commons.

    • The building is unsecured. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

    • If something is damaged, needs repair, or if you’d like to make a change to the space, please contact us so we can work out a solution together.
