Communities are rewoven when neighbors are in economic exchange with each other, not with someone online across the continent or world.
The Missing Corner honors money as sacred exchange in which relationships between neighbors are forged.
What if… instead of wondering (with a cringe) what someone is going to take from you
you get to ask, what do I have to give for this?
And, your gift is gratefully received in whatever value it is?
Making this Labor of Love Happen
I (Natalie Anderson) was able to acquire this space because of some money that was a gift to my family and the amount of money given to me was more than I needed to make my own life work for me.
The best way to honor a gift is to make something beautiful from it. From this sense of abundance, I am passing on this gift to the community of people who live near to me in the form of this shared space.
I am building this as an unpressured project, and I am giving that gift of an unpressure to you, because when you're unpressured, you can create beautiful things. And when people in the community are creating beautiful things, anything is possible.
