Learn Local: Pine Needle Basket Weaving with Hayley Stuart - Part 2 of 2

Join us for a two-day, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to collect, treat, and weave your very own basket using locally gathered pine needles.

Facilitated by Hayley Stuart of Husum.

Hayley Stuart is not only a pine needle basket weaver but a whitewater kayaker and documentary filmmaker. She began weaving on a whim and quickly fell in love with the process, especially because the materials are easy to gather while exploring the Gorge. She’s excited to share her favorite techniques, including the small tips and tricks you won’t always find in books. Follow her on instagram at @hayleymstuart.
